30-11-2006  MIT translation cleared by Turkish Court
Istanbul, Turkey (MFB): A court in Turkey has ruled that a publisher who printed a book by an MIT professor is not guilty of "insulting Turkishness." John Tirman's book, "The Spoils of War," was critical of the US-Turkey military alliance. […] In today's ruling, the court said the publisher of a Turkish translation of Tirman's book was not responsible for the alleged insults.
