Translator killed in Iraq but not counted in US
|
New Jersey, USA (NJ): Ibrahim Sara of Paterson was killed in combat last month while serving his country on the front lines in Iraq. But you won't find his name on the official list of American war casualties. To the Pentagon, Sara's death basically never happened. Sara, 32, was a civilian Arabic translator, but his war assignment was hardly trouble-free – or confined to the safety of a well-guarded rear echelon base.
