Yuddhakanda

Vadodara, India (Newsline): At the Oriental Institute (OI) of MS University, it was a different kind of recital of Valmiki Ramayana’s Yuddhakanda on Thursday. Translated by Professor Robert Goldman and his wife Sally Sutherland of University of California, the couple presented a lecture on ‘The Elephant’s Song: Valmiki’s Yuddhakanda as Nitishastra and Dharmashastra’. The presentation was part of a lecture series organised in memory of Dr U P Shah, former head of the institute.
