Translation issues delay mental evaluation of mother
|
Indiana, USA (AP): Translation problems have delayed the court-ordered mental evaluation of a woman charged with murder in the strangulation deaths of her four children. Angelica Salazar Alvarez, 27, was to have been evaluated Wednesday to see if she is fit to stand trial. However, Warsaw psychiatrist Dr. Barbara Eichman said she could not conduct the planned interview because she could not interpret Alvarez's tone and nuance through a translator that would have been necessary for the session.
