California, USA ((BC): Nobody understood what the man was saying when he came to Mercy Hospital and by law, the staff was obligated to provide services in his primary language. But how could they help him without knowing what his language was? That problem, according to Wanda Barrera, who is in charge of interpreter services at Mercy and Mercy Southwest hospitals, was solved thanks to a language line used by both hospitals.
