DynCorp and McNeil Technologies JV win $4.6 billion Army language services contract
|
 Virginia, USA (Business Wire): The United States Army has awarded a contract for management of translation and interpretation services in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) to Global Linguistic Solutions LLC (GLS), a joint venture formed by DynCorp International and McNeil Technologies. The five-year contract, with a maximum value of $4.645 billion, was awarded by the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). The contract calls for 6,000 local Arabic translators and up to 1,000 U.S. staff who are trained in the regional languages.
