Language Access Network and MARTTI
|
Ohio, USA (Central): Using Martti, hospital personnel follow prompts on the video screen to establish an interactive link with one of Language Access Network's 55 interpreters. The interpreters have completed 64 hours of interpreter training and know medical terminology in English and the language they are interpreting. They also are familiar with the medical environment, know best practices and follow a code of ethics, said Erika Shell Castro, director of interpreter services at Language Access Network.
