  Taliban leader demands Afghan president negotiates release of Ajmal Nakshbandi
Kabul, Afghanistan (RFE): Taliban leader Mullah Dadullah recently demanded that Afghan President Hamid Karzai negotiate for the release of Adjmal Nasqhbandi, whom the Taliban is currently holding hostage, Reuters reported on March 29. Nasqhbandi is the Afghan interpreter who was kidnapped by the Taliban on March 4 along with Italian reporter Daniele Mastrogiacomo and a driver, Sayyed Agha, who was beheaded by his captors. Threatened to kill the Afghan interpreter unless the Kabul government freed two Taliban prisoners, according to an interview broadcast on Italian television on Thursday
